Blogger Demographics: Who Is Responsible For The Majority Of Blog Content?
(Read Write Web) — We recently thought it would be interesting and insightful to look at who is actually writing blogs around the world. Using our social media monitoring and analytics platform we analyzed over 100 million blog posts that provided information about age, gender and locations. Not surprising, bloggers in the 21-to-35 year-old demographic group account for 53.3% of the total blogging population, followed by those 20 and under (20.2%), then 36-to-50 year-olds (19.4%) and those 51 and older only make up 7.1%.
