The NAACP Image Awards Were Literally Like The Best Black Family Reunion Ever

Last night the 49th annual NAACP Image Awards took place in Pasadena, California on a remarkable date: Martin Luther King Day. The significance of holding the ceremony on that momentous day was not lost on the stars who stepped out for the award show and had nothing but love for their peers in the entertainment business. Whether celebrating a nomination, one another’s new roles, or the fact that they simply made it, seeing the acknowledgement of Black excellence throughout the night was literally like being at the best and blackest family reunion to ever.
