Back in 2015, Taraji P. Henson was spotted getting cozy with former NFL player Kelvin Hayden. And while there were rumors that the pair split in 2016 over cheating allegations, the assumption was that she was single again. And she talked like it. Back in September she told W she was having trouble finding the right guy with her career.
“I would love to [be in a relationship] but he has to see how I move and deal with it, because I don’t have time to explain,” she said. “I’ve got work to do.”
But just recently, this photo popped up courtesy of The Shaderoom:
And in a new interview with Essence’s Yes, Girl! podcast, the 47-year-old confirmed to hosts Charli Penn, Cori Murray and Yolanda Sangweni that she and Hayden are still together and he makes her very happy.
“I’m happy in my personal life,” she said. “Finally it has happened to me!”
“It was all over The Shaderoom anyway,” she continued. “You know, I’m not the type to blast my personal business, but you know, I think that it’s important for people to know that I’m happy. I’m very very happy. I just am. We’ve been together for two years. And no one would really know that because I don’t blast my info like that but I’m very happy.”
Adding to her happiness is her new puppy K Ball, who as it turns out, was given to her by Kelvin, aka, “ZaddyBear.”

As far as a brief rundown on Hayden, he’s a 34-year-old former NFL cornerback from Chicago. He was drafted in 2005 and was part of the 2007 Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts. In that game he scored his first career interception. He finished his career with the Chicago Bears in 2014.
He has two children, loves his mom and enjoys staying fit and hanging out on boats with his friends. These are all things we learned after perusing his Instagram page.
