(Wall Street Journal) — Former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick got hit with a stiff prison sentence this morning ─ 18 months to 5 years ─ for violating the terms of his probation.An “audible gasp” erupted in the courtroom when Judge David Groner announced the sentence, according to this account from the Detroit Free Press.
