D.C. Council Considers Commuter Tax
(Channel 8 News) — If you drive to work in the District, but live elsewhere, your commute could get a lot more expensive if the city council has its way. D.C. officials are considering a commuter tax to be imposed upon people who travel in and out of the area everyday. A commuter tax would generate about $500 million in revenue for the city.
